GUARANTEE: A guarantee entails a contractual arrangement wherein patrons remit payment for autographs, and the talent provides items for signing. Should the talent fail to achieve the predetermined sum or guarantee from the autograph signings, the event organizer is liable to compensate for the shortfall.

APPEARANCE FEE: An appearance fee refers to a fixed compensation offered by the event organizer, paid up front to secure the talent’s attendance. This fee serves as guaranteed payment for the talent’s participation in the event, regardless of additional sales, signings, or other revenue generated during the appearance.
