Quinton Flynn is a versatile voice actor and comedian with a career spanning over three decades. Born on October 10, 1964, in Cleveland, Ohio, Flynn began his entertainment journey at the age of five on Cleveland's Romper Room and developed his skills as a talented impressionist by age eight. He earned a degree in Radio, Television, and Film from Kent State University. Flynn's early works include hosting The Alternate Beat, a music program that pre-dated MTV, featuring music interviews and videos. He later moved to Los Angeles to pursue acting and entertainment, testing for Saturday Night Live in New York City. As an impressionist, Flynn has been featured in TV and film portraying Paul McCartney, Jerry Lewis, Christopher Walken, Gene Wilder, and Christopher Lloyd, among others.
In his voice acting career, Flynn is best known for his roles as Raiden in the Metal Gear Solid series, Axel and Lea in the Kingdom Hearts series, and Reno in Final Fantasy VII and its sequels. He has also voiced characters in anime series such as Iruka Umino in Naruto, Kon in Bleach, and Marcus Damon in Digimon Data Squad. Flynn's extensive work includes roles in video games like League of Legends (Jhin), World of Warcraft (Kael'thas Sunstrider), and Spider-Man: Friend or Foe (Venom). He has also lent his voice to Disney's Timon & Pumbaa, portraying Timon in 24 episodes. Beyond his voice acting, Flynn has showcased his comedic talents on Jimmy Kimmel Live! and Robot Chicken, performing impressions of various celebrities and characters.
