Dr. Phillip Ahn

Dr. Phillip Ahn is a multifaceted professional whose career spans martial arts, medicine, and entertainment. Born on May 15, 1966, in Chicago, Illinois, he began his martial arts journey under the guidance of his father, Grand Master Sung Kie Ahn, and later earned a 5th-degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do. With over 30 years of training and more than 20 years of teaching experience, Dr. Ahn has coached several state and national champions. In addition to his martial arts expertise, he is a board-certified family physician affiliated with the University of Chicago Medical Center, where he has served the community for over two decades .

Dr. Ahn's unique blend of skills led to his portrayal of the iconic character Shang Tsung in the video game Mortal Kombat II.
