Mortal Kombat Voice Actor

Craig J. Harris took over the role of Jackson "Jax" Briggs in the Mortal Kombat series from co-creator Ed Boon, becoming the first African American actor to voice the character in the video game series.
In addition to performing as the voice of Jax from 2000 through 2002 and serving as the game's signature voice, voicing catchphrases such as "Finish Him!" and "Fatality!", Craig has lent his distinctive bass voice to several other Midway Games titles, including Blitz: The League and MLB Slugfest.
Alongside his gaming credits, Craig’s voiceover career includes national commercial work for prominent brands such as McDonald’s, Coca-Cola, KFC, Allstate, and Procter & Gamble, as well as book narration for titles on Audible. Craig is an ADR voice match for Morgan Freeman, Dennis Haysbert, and James Earl Jones.
As a SAG-AFTRA actor, Craig enjoys a busy career in front of the camera, acting in TV shows (Chicago PD, Chicago Fire, Empire, Prison Break), Films (The Unborn, Eagle Eye, Fred Claus), and as a professional stuntman/stunt driver.
Outside the world of voiceovers and on-camera performing, Craig is a television producer and award-winning writer whose network television producing credits include Executive Producer of Investigation Discovery’s All Access PD: Grand Rapids, Lifetime’s Chicago ER, multiple seasons of A&E’s The First 48: Missing Persons, Hoarders, and the critically acclaimed CNN docuseries Chicagoland. Projects produced from Craig’s scripts have garnered five regional Emmy® Awards, a Telly Award, an AFTRA American Scene Award, and a Procter & Gamble Dreambuilder Celebration Scribe Award.
Craig is a fitness enthusiast and a longtime Girl Scout Troop Leader for his daughters (Yes, Girl Scout Troop Leader).
