DJ Switch PDX has been credited with some of the biggest gaming events in the Pacific Northwest. He began serving as the DJ & MC for the Portland Retro Gaming Expo in 2011 and has become a fixture in the Portland gaming community with credits that include PAX West, Fan Expo Portland, Rose City Comic Con, Wonder Northwest, Stumptown Comics Fest and more!

 

Switch created the first public LoFi VGM monthly event, launched a new retro gaming community podcast on YouTube and Spotify and was honored by local Portland newspaper Willamette Week as #14 on their annual list of 'Reasons To Love Portland in 2024!'

DJ Switch grew up in his family's computer store and that's where he developed a love for tech and music.  He's been a DJ and producer for over 20 years and has started his own podcast called Pick Up & Play on YouTube where he interviews people from across the wide realm of the video game industry.

Although Switch remains passionate about his roots in gaming, he has also helped raise over $500,000 in charity funds through annual events with The Lupus Foundation of America, Cowlitz Gamers for Kids, and PDXpelliarmus -- the Portland chapter of Fandom Forward.
