James Pax

James Pax is an internationally recognized actor, director, screenwriter, and producer with a global fanbase and a career spanning film and television across Hollywood, the UK, and Asia.

Audiences may recognize him as the electrifying Lightning in John Carpenter’s cult classic Big Trouble in Little China, where he famously pursues Kurt Russell’s character and mesmerizes Kim Cattrall with his supernatural powers. James has also appeared alongside action legends Chuck Norris in Invasion U.S.A., Charles Bronson in Kinjite: Forbidden Subjects, and starred opposite Michelle Yeoh in the Hong Kong blockbuster The Heroic Trio, which grossed over $20 million in Asia. He also co-starred in NBC’s Nasty Boys with Benjamin Bratt, produced by Law & Order creator Dick Wolf, and appeared in the Wong Fei-hung TV series directed by the acclaimed Tsui Hark.

James portrayed the titular role in The First Emperor, an acclaimed docudrama produced for Discovery Channel and Channel 4 UK, which debuted to an impressive 18% rating and has since garnered over 4.5 million views on YouTube.
