Les L. Garner: Defying the Odds and Crafting Dark Wonders
The visionary artist and writer behind Apocalypse Girl, Les continues to leave his mark on the worlds of comics, gaming, and film. As the co-creator of the Old West horror comic Homestead and the cover artist for an expanding list of titles, including the upcoming Reign of Dracula series, Les has spent 30 years shaping the industry with his artistry, storytelling, and innovative 3D animation.
In February 2023, Les faced a life-altering challenge—a double ischemic stroke that left him paralyzed on the left side. Defying grim predictions, he fought back, reclaiming his mobility and creative fire. Since then, he has completed artwork for more than five new comics and is working harder than ever, proving that resilience fuels greatness.
Now, Les brings his talents to Dr. Van Meter’s Forbidden Cthulhic Tarot, an eldritch fusion of cosmic horror and mysticism. This chilling new project is live on Kickstarter, inviting backers to unlock forbidden knowledge and dive into the madness-infused world of Lovecraftian tarot.
